We got the phone call about 8 or so that Amy and Chris were heading to the hospital because Amy was having contractions. Even though we were going to wait and see if she ended up staying, I went and got a shower immediately. A little bit later, we got another call saying they were keeping her, so we headed to the hospital about 9. We took Tucker with us. We figured if we needed to, we could always run him back home to my mom if we needed to.
Brody was out entertainment for most of the evening. We kept thinking he would eventually fall asleep since it was getting later and later and Amy still hadn't had Ellie. But he never did!
Tucker didn't seem fazed by the excitement over the birth of Ellie. He fell asleep soon after we got to the hospital and slept until about 3, when he woke up hungry!
At about 1, we all started getting pretty tired. We knew that Amy had had Ellie but we couldn't go back to see her yet. Some of us were able to take cat naps on the couches in the waiting rooms.
Finally at about 3, we were able to get back and see Miss Ellie and Amy. Ellie was born with a full head of hair!! She was so precious!! We were wondering if she would be smaller than Tucker and she was, but not by much!
We were able to get some pictures of Ellie and Tucker, as you can tell, they were thrilled!!
Even though someones flash was going off I think this pic is cute. Ellie looks like she's praying and Tucker looks like he's screaming!

We ended up leaving the hospital at about 3:30AM, once I finished feeding Tucker. Luckily, when we got home, we were able to transfer him out of the car seat into his cradle without a problem. He woke up for a split second and then went right back to sleep.
